After officially opening Cairo ICT 2011, making a tour of the exhibition and talking to exhibitors, H. E. Minister of CIT Dr. Magued Osman, H. E. Tanzanian Deputy Minister for Communication, Science & Technology Charles Kitwanga, H. E. Jean Felix- Paganon Ambassador of France and Frank Martinez, Worldwide Director, Digital Inclusion & Government PC programs, Intel World Ahead Program, each delivered his welcome note, welcoming exhibitors and visitors to the 15th round of Cairo ICT.

The “Future of the Internet in Egypt” was the title of a heated session as differences and arguments arose between the participating companies especially in opinions. They all agreed on one thing though which is that the future is for the Internet and that broadband will witness a real surge in the coming period.
